With qualifications in Education, Counselling, Careers and College Advising, English Language, International Development, The Arts and Engineering between us, as well as over 40 years of international experience in schools around the globe, encompassing classroom teaching, coaching, mentoring, social-emotional counselling, leadership and administration, the team at DREMAC Education Consulting has what it takes to support any student’s high school journey.
DREMAC Education Consulting has no intention of expanding into a large, multi-employee undertaking, but rather promises to remain a boutique venture focusing on providing highly targeted, individualised attention to a limited number of selected students as they navigate the hurdles of high school as well as the local and international college admissions landscapes.

The team at DREMAC keeps abreast of updates in the teaching, counselling and college admissions landscape and aligns with industry standards by being active members of leading organisations in the counselling and college admissions industry such as HECA, International ACAC, QCT and QGCA. Members of the DREMAC team also have a long history of association with IC3, are involved in conferences globally and support the efforts of the college counselling community both locally and internationally.

Barry is an Australian by birth but a global nomad at heart and instead of planting roots, he seems to have sprouted wings that have enabled him to experience first-hand so much of the world over the years. He has travelled the globe from the Tuktoyaktuk in the north to Invercargill in the south and lived in countries including Australia, Zimbabwe, China, Lebanon, Nigeria, Canada and New Guinea.
At present he resides on the west coast of India and loves all that the diverse country has to offer in the way of colour, culture, foods, festivals, landscapes, friends and much, much more but the road ahead, is, as always, a work in progress. No matter where the journey takes him, Barry feels comforted with the knowledge that he belongs nowhere but everywhere and, like Paul Young once sang, “Wherever he lays his hat, that’s his home”.
Barry’s LinkedIn Profile attests to his qualifications and experience and his background encompasses classroom teaching, coaching, mentoring, social-emotional counselling, school administration and over fifteen years of international college admissions advising.
What his profile does not highlight, however, is Barry’s love for exploring off the beaten track, his passion for travel photography and how he enjoys a live music “gig” whenever the opportunity presents itself. It also doesn’t mention his delight in all styles of food (the spicier the better), how dogs of all shapes and sizes make him happy and how long strolls on a beach in the evening are a great way to appreciate all that the world has to offer!

Although born and raised in Mumbai, Francisco is a Goan at heart, and after completing his education in the Indian education system he embarked upon a career in electrical engineering. After experiencing the family business and engaging in the industry for a number of years, it was his desire to work more directly with people that drew Francisco towards a different path.
Upon leaving engineering, Francisco’s early career decisions carried him into marketing, sales, customer relations and service in a range of small and large businesses in both Goa and Mumbai. These initial experiences, in the local context, empowered him with the knowledge and confidence he needed to join a fast-growing, global ed-tech company headquartered internationally, with employees located worldwide.
The four years working alongside his colleagues allowed Francisco to meet, collaborate with and learn from amazing men and women in schools, colleges, universities and ed-tech companies around the globe. In his various roles as an implementation specialist and client experience manager as well as his heavy involvement in business operations, Francisco learned so much every day affirming his belief that education, formal or informal, is a lifelong journey.
Francisco is passionate about working with clients, is ever-ready to face new challenges head-on, eager to learn new skills and will listen to and take onboard others’ wisdom. Most of all, however, he is committed to delivering the highest level of support to others when needed.
